Mariano develops his unique style
With a blend of Latin American rhythms, Tango, Eastern Mediterranean modalities, and his own original compositions.
His music is made up of an evolving personal sound aesthetic on guitar and on ronroco, a stringed instrument of Bolivian origin, similar to the charango.
He began his musical studies in his hometown, Pinamar, Argentina, before moving to Buenos Aires.
He entered the “Conservatorio Superior de Música de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires – Astor Piazzolla”, where he graduated with a diploma in Higher Guitar Studies. At the Conservatory, he studied with the Tango Maestros Vicente Elías and Javier Bravo and specialized formally in the Tango genre, with the Maestro Aníbal Arias and Maestro Pino Enriquez.
He concluded his academic career by studying tango arrangement at the “Academia Nacional Del Tango” in Buenos Aires.
Between 2002 and 2017, Mariano toured Europe eleven times with tango groups, before relocating to Spain in 2018.
From 2018 through today, he has performed in Spain, England, Italy, Greece, Cyprus and the United States.
Ronroco:
On this popular, stringed instrument, Mariano creates a repertoire of traditional music, personal compositions, and improvisations.
He brings the unique sound produced by the ronroco to create innovative pieces of music, creating a bridge from the Andes, where the instrument originated and the Eastern Mediterranean, the source of inspiration for Vivianna and Mariano’s musical repertoire.
The ronroco was used for the recording of the Sephardic song “La roza enflorese” on their album “Pasiones Cruzadas” (2020).
