Greek born Cypriot vocalist, Vivianna Giannaki and Mariano Gil guitarist and composer from Argentina, began their collaboration in Buenos Aires in 2017.

Their common passion for music unifies them in their artistic journey around the world.

The ecstatic poetry along with the intensity of the music, create an exhilarating experience for their audience, wherever they may be performing.

The Duo performs Medieval, Renaissance and traditional Cypriot songs, Greek traditional songs from Smyrna, Argentine Tango, as well as songs of Sephardic and Celtic origin, compositions by Astor Piazzolla, Manuel de Falla, Manos Hatzidakis, Mikis Theodorakis, and original pieces by Mariano Gil, himself.

Vivianna and Mariano’s repertoire includes musical pieces in Cypriot dialect as well as in Ladino, Spanish, Greek, French and English.

The Album “Pasiones Cruzadas” (“En Tipis Publications” Nicosia, Cyprus 2020) was presented for the first time, at the National Concert Hall (Auditorio Nacional de Música) Madrid – Spain, in June 2021.

It marks the beginning of their latest series of concerts.

The edition “Pasiones Cruzadas” includes a book with the lyrics of their songs (in Greek, Spanish and English), acknowledgements by internationally known dignitaries and photos of their performances as well as a CD.

The Duo continues to enrich its musical repertoire with heartfelt pieces that connect audiences from around the world.
